My Little Cowgirl
These are just some pics that I got of Molly while I was playing with my camera. Thought they were adorable! She cut her first 2 teeth yesterday. She is late at getting teeth, but not as late as Maddie!

House Framed!!!
The house is going up quickly! They started framing on Monday July 19, and have already finished for the most part. The framers will come back on Monday to finish up little detail work such as the arches within the doorways and framing the fireplace. Today the exterior will be worked on. They are putting up the exterior walls and soffets (I really have no clue how to spell that!). Windows are being delivered today as well. Early next week the roof will be on!
This was taken at the end of framing day 1. Its a view of the front of the house, Mason is standing inside entry way.
This is a view from the family room looking into the kitchen/breakfast room, and you can see the stairs in the hallway leading up to the media and game rooms.

Slab Pour 7-16-2010
We got up early this morning and made it out to the site around 7. At that point 7 concrete trucks had already been there! The kids ablsolutely loved watching the workers pour the slab and work on it. Mason watched so intently and thinks now when he grows up he wants to be a "concrete man". I am sure every step of the building process he will change what he wants to be. But he truley does love the "workers".

Molly wasnt quite as interested as the other two kiddos...
The ducks all lined up...
We were sitting under the big tree when these vultures popped up out of the tree...needless to say...we packed up the chairs and moved far away! They were letting us know that was their tree, not ours.

The kids were smoothing dirt as they played "concrete truck"... they were definitely using their little imaginations!
They were almost finished pouring the slab when we had to leave. All that was left was the garage and the porches. We will visit again tonight to see it finished!

Monday, the framing begins!!!!

She is doing amazing for her age! Obviously she is getting plenty to eat! She loves baby food and has now gotten addicted to the Gerber puffs and yogurt melts. (thats how we made it quietly through church yesterday!)

Spring Branch, TX
We are building a house out in Spring Branch, TX. We are SOOOO extremely excited to finally be starting our house! It has been long waiting game to get everything ready to start. At last...here we go!!!! Here are some pics of the very beginning of the house being built.
This is the day we got the land cleared....
Forms are mostly set....

Plumming rough is in....but as you can see...its raining....
That last picture was taken on July 1st....today is July 8th and it still looks exactly the same. Seriously, why does the rain have to wait all summer until the same time we are trying to get our house going? I will post more as soon as any work gets done.

New Start
So, now that we have tons going on in our life, I am going to try and keep this blog updated. That way all of you can check in any time and see what is going on with the Cobb family here in San Antonio...soon to be Spring Branch Tx!!!

Brief update on us....
Beau....started a new job at Brohn Homes. He is the only one here in SA to work for the company, so he is doing it all. He was hired to start up the division in SA, as Brohn Homes is based out of Austin. Beau has been there for about 3 months now and is loving every minute of it! SOOOO glad he made the move over.
Abby...still staying home with now 3 kiddos. I quit my teaching job when I got pregnant with Molly and have not regretted for one minute my choice to not teach and stay home. Although we have some very challenging days, I absolutely love it! I am still working on my photography business and loving that as well!
Maddie...she is now 5 years old. She will be starting kindergarten next month and is so excited to do so. She is such a bright little girl and is going to do so well in school. She is a very social kid and we say that she has great "leadership" skills....(really she just likes to be in charge!) She is such a girly girl and is always playing dress up, princesses, and loves being the big sister.

Mason...he is 3, fixing to be 4 in a few short weeks. He will be doing a homeschool preschool program with me this year to get him ready for kinder next year. He is a very loving little boy, but does have need to talk back sometimes. He absolutely loves cars and trucks and is a total boy. We have had our challenges raising a boy, but glad he is around to keep our lives interesting. Mason is SO good with his baby sister and is even willing to change diapers...with a little assistance.

Molly....she is now 7 months old. Molly was born this past December and was a great addition to our family just before Christmas. It snowed in San Antonio the day Molly was born. What a magical day! Molly is a fantastic baby who hardly ever cries. She loves playing with her big brother and sister and is head over heals for her dog Sam. Squeals with delight every time he is in sight. Molly is sitting up and starting to try and crawl. We are fixing to have a very busy household!
